Abstract

|
The T.B. mass survey of 13,072 students of Seoul National University (12college) was
conducted from September to October 1957.
1) 91.32 percent of the total number of students were X-rayed.
2) Among the x-rayed group, 4.84% showed positive chest findings and 2.40% showed
suspected pulmonary tuberculosis.
3) Of 163 T.B. cases, 85.89% showed the minimal stage and 10.43% moderate
advanced lesions, according to the clinical classification method of N.T.A.
4) Of 163 cases were of cavitation and 5(3.10%)cases of tuberculoma.
5) Pulmonary TB. was highly prevalent in the 19-22 age-group with the 21age-group
of students being the highest.
6) On the analysis if 163 case of pulmonary T.B., 93 cases(60.12%)needed medical
supervision, and 65case(39.83%)needed medical management.
